Beaconhouse School System established a foothold in the Gulf after opening its first school in Muscat, Oman, in September 2006.  This school has been established through the Al-Kanz Education, a joint venture between Beaconhouse (which owns majority shares) and a local Omani group.

Through this base in Muscat, Beaconhouse plans to extend its presence throughout the Gulf, and is exploring opportunities in Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
